World Breastfeeding Week Celebration 2019

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology along with Mumbai Breastfeeding Promotion Committee & MOGS conducted Inter-college Street Play and  Poster Competition on 18/07/19. Inaugaration of the program was done by respected Dr. Pramod Ingle, Dean LTMMC & GH Mumbai, MBPC President Dr Reena Wani, Dr Niranjan Mayadeo Professor and HOD of Dept OBGY, MOGS Secretary Dr Niranjan Chavan, Dr Jayshree Mondkar Ex Dean LTMMC Sion. Program started at 11:30 am and concluded at 4 pm. We received a total of 215 entries for posters and street play competition.

There were 5 teams from nursing category & 6 teams from Doctors category that participated in street play competition. Total 98 nursing students , 34 Doctors and 13 participants from other category participated in the poster competition

1st Price (Tie) : Ms. Anju Marimuthy, (Poster no. 13)- Seva mandal Education Scociety
and Ms. Pratiksha Parab, (Poster no.23) - Nair Hospital

2nd Price : Ms.Snehal Shinde, (Poster no. 32)- Nair Hospital

3rd Price : Ms.Harshali Bunge, (Poster no. 28)- Nair Hospital

Consolation price : Ms. Kajal Sanas (Poster no. 05)- Wadia Hospital.

Doctors Category:

1st Price: Dr.Maheshvari Satav (Poster no. 32)-Nair Hospital.

2nd Price: Dr.Prabhadevi R (Poster no. 34)-KEM Hospital.

3rd Price: Dr Sushil Yewale-(Poster no. 20)-DY Patil Hospital.

Other Category:

1ST Price: Anam Qureshi (Poster No-A)-RGMC Thane.

2nd Price: Atul Solanki (Poster No-J)-TNMC Mumbai.

3rd Price: Shruti Ankam (Poster No-F)-LTMMC Mumbai.

Street Play Competition :

Nursing Category:

1st Price – SNDT.

2nd Price (Tie) – JJ Hospital & Sau Minatai Thakre Institute of Nursing, Thane

Doctors Category :

1st Price – Terna Medical College.

2nd Price – UHC Dharavi.

3rd Price- Nair Hospital.

Refreshments were provided to all judges & the participants.

This Program was conducted under the leadership of MBPC President Dr Reena Wani,

Dr N M Mayadeo Prof & Head Dept of OBGY.

Program was conducted by Dept Of OBGY LTMMC Sion Mumbai & Supported by MOGS & MBPC. We are thankful to President MOGS-Dr Jaydeep Tank & Secretary MOGS-Dr Niranjan Chavan for their support. Dr. Sushma Malik,Prof. and Head, Dept. of Neonatology, TNMC guided the team at Sion for organinsing the event.The Contact convenors for the event were Dr Pradnya Changede- Assitant Professor, Dept Of OBGY LTMMC, Dr Pradnya Supe-Assitant Professor & Dr Madhuri Mehendale- Assitant Professor.
